Why does the pot turn off and on by itself while cooking?

This is normal behavior. The removable power cord contains a built-in thermostat. It automatically cycles the heating element on and off to maintain your selected temperature setting.

Can I use this pot on a gas or induction stove?

No. This is a standalone electrical appliance. Placing it on an external stovetop will permanently melt the electrical base and damage the internal components.

Is the cooking pot dishwasher safe?

No. The pot has integrated electrical components at the base. It must never be placed in a dishwasher or fully submerged in water.

Can I use an extension cord with this appliance?

It is highly discouraged. Because it draws 2200 watts of power, standard household extension cords can easily overheat and create a fire hazard. Always plug it directly into a wall outlet.
