Yes. The kettle is made from premium, food-grade silicone that is BPA-free and FDA-approved. It is heat-resistant up to 230°C, meaning it stays chemically inert and perfectly stable at the 100°C temperature required to boil water.

Does this model feature dual voltage for international travel?

Yes, some variants of the Marado MA-1613 feature a manual 110V/220V dual-voltage switch located directly on the bottom base. You must manually flip this switch to match the local grid power (e.g., 110V for North America) before plugging it in to avoid burning out the heating element.

How fast does it boil water?

Because it draws 600 Watts to heat a compact 0.6-liter volume, it takes approximately 4 to 6 minutes to reach a full rolling boil.

Can I collapse the kettle immediately after pouring?

No. You must let the kettle cool down completely for a few minutes before pushing it down to collapse it. Compressing it while the interior heating base plate is scorching hot can weaken or damage the silicone folds over time.
