Can I boil milk, soup, or herbal tea directly inside the kettle?

No, you should strictly boil clean water only. Boiling other liquids can burn the internal heating elements, ruin the sensor, and void your warranty.

Why is my kettle shutting off before the water fully boils?

This is usually caused by limescale buildup on the bottom plate. The scale tricks the internal thermostat into thinking the kettle is hotter than it actually is.
